ABAYA REFASHION 1

Today we getting crafty with old outdated abayas. Ready to give it a twist? Here's how:

What you need:
*An abaya/ dress or t-shirt
* Newspaper
*Scissors
*Needle and thread
*Chain
*Chain clasp

Step 1
Cut a triangle out of a newspaper. Pin the triangle to the back of the abaya/dress/t-shirt.

Step 2
Cut the abaya/dress/t-shirt according to the newspaper

Step 3
Stitch around the edges

Step 4
Using the cut out fabric, make two loops to attach the chain. one on the top and one at the bottom.

Using clasps, hook the chain on to the loops.

Ta-Da! Another crafty 'I'm so proud I did it myself' piece in your closet!

OUTFIT OF THE DAY-EID LOOK

Being in October and during the most beautiful season, this year's eid ul adha theme had to be just that; Spring.

A simple royal blue abaya from here. The neck piece was gifted.

Dull gold glitter loafer from Call it Spring. Arm candy from Mr Price. The flowers on my wrist is actually a headband, ssshhh don't tell anyone.

Blue and white pashmina scarf.

I'd rather have flowers on my head than diamonds around my neck. Kidding!! Could I please have them both?

The headband is a neck-piece-turned-headband. Talk about versatility!

A belated Eid Mubarak to all those that celebrated.

ABAYA REFASHION- CHAINED

Change, who doesn't love change. Here's a little DIY project for the weekend.

I've been meaning to share this for a while but time hadn't been on my side.

What you need:

•Plain Abaya/Maxi dress

•Light weight chain

•Needle and thread

Steps:

1. Decide where you'd like the chain.

2. Stitch it to the desired spot. Brand-spanking new abaya in just 5minutes.
