It's Tea Time over Here... Tea ring Recipe

As the name suggest, this is a sweet ring shaped bread to enjoy with TEA.

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
125g butter
¼ cup sugar
¾ tsp salt
3½ cup flour
10g instant yeast
1 egg beaten

Melted butter
½ cup finely chopped nuts
Desiccated Coconut

Icing:
1½ - 2 cups icing sugar
Cold water

Method:
1. Scald the milk. Add salt, sugar & butter to hot milk, stir and stand to cool.
2. When the milk mixture is lukewarm add it to half the flower and the yeast. Beat well.
3. Cover the dough and place it in a warm place to rise.
4. Once dough is risen twice is size, add the beaten egg and remaining flour. Let aside to rise again.
5. Once dough has risen, divide it in two. Roll each ball separately to oblong shape as seen in picture 1.
6. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle chopped nuts and coconut over.(Picture 2)
7. Roll up and place it on a greased tray in a ring shape. (Picture 3&4)
8. Make deep slits in ring. (Picture 5)
9. Roll slits over (Picture 6&7)
10. Cover and allow to rise.
11. Once risen bake at 180° for 20-25minutes or until golden.
12 Make icing with icing sugar and water. Drizzle icing over baked tea ring while hot.
