SUMMER PLEAURES DURING THE WINTER MONTHS

The days are getting shorter, chillier, cozier! Summer will be missed.

My favourite parts of summer; the long days, the time spent outdoors, the ocean.

Don't you just love the way your hair sits after a dip in natures pool? I know I do

Here's a recipe to make those gorgeous beach waves last all year round *excited*

Mix the following together:
•2 cups hot water
•1 tablespoon salt
•1 tablespoon coconut oil
•1 tablespoon conditioner or hair gel

Spray it on to your hair, twist sections and allow it to air dry.

It's that simple!

PAP, JUST PAP

Its white and soft and a staple food in South Africa. It's Pap. What is a South African blog without the mention of pap?
Pap is a porridge made mainly of maize meal and enjoyed by most South Africans. It's enjoyed in a softer form known as "slap pap" or a thicker consistency known as "stywe pap".

Slap pap is accompanied with milk and sugar and is usually enjoyed as a breakfast.

Stywe pap is enjoyed with meat, gravy
or vegetables, and of course a South African Braai.

Here's a fav pap recipe:

Ingredients:
1 litre water
1/2 tsp salt
+/- 2 cups maize meal(depending on the consistency you prefer)

Method:
1. Add salt to the water and boil.
2. Add maize meal and stirr wel using a wooden spoon.
3. Reduce the heat to low and allow to cook for about an hour.

Note: You may add some butter or margarine to your pap. Add it to the water or add in with the maize meal.

Ta-da! There you have it! A pot of pap, all u need now is some wors and a braai stove!

MESSY MAKE UP NO MORE

My make up draw was looking horrendous. A big mess. I could never find anything I wanted or needed to use. I also forgot what make up I had. Something had to be done.

I collected a few boxes of different sizes and shapes, covered them and organized my make up. Very simple to do, a 15 minute DIY project, yet it took me months to get down to doing it.

An organized draw(or closet;which I need to do asap) reduces the time to get ready tremendously. Yes, that "I'll be ready in 5 minutes" can really be 5 minutes *winks*.
