SANIBONANI SOUTH AFRICA- WELCOME TO MY CITY PART 2

A few months ago I promised a part two of the "Welcome to my city" post. Here goes ☺

A blanket of stars almost always cloaks us, our equivalent to the city light that shine so bright.
Traffic jams are not of concern, instead we wait at stop-streets for donkey carts to take their turns.

Weekends are spent bundu-bashing, in search of new adventures. With trucks and cows and mountains and rivers on the way, its easy to get a little dazed. Fishing is a big sport, attracting tourist too. A perfect weekend would be spent with friends & family in a cozy camping site set up by us all. There's nothing more fitting for lunch than potjie-kos and pap, or a fish braai.

So for a renewal of the mind, body and soul, come down to my Farm Town and experience what I do, Everyday ☺

SANIBONANI SOUTH AFRICA - CAPE TOWN CARNIVAL

Recently this blog has been seeming more like a fashion blog than anything else. My apologies. Here's an event post (other than fashion event), which is long overdue.

If you're in and around Cape Town this weekend be sure not to miss the 4th annual Cape Town Carnival. A celebration of diversity and African culture & heritage. This years theme: AFRICAN LEGENDS.

Its all going down this Saturday, the 16th of March on the fan walk, Green point. It promises excitement for the whole family. Starting at 5pm until midnight. Don't fear, hunger will not strike as food will be sold along the way from 3pm. Expect to be dazzled by the best of Africa.

Performers include 2010 Idols finalist, L' loyd Cele, Claire Philips, Crazy White Boy and Dj Ready D.
Kids will enjoy the colourful costumed dancers and standout floats which include Van Hunks smoking on Table Mountain, The Flying Dutchman in full sail, the colourful Namaqualand Daisies, the ancient Khoi-San legend of The Mantis and the Moon, the spectacular Queen of Sheba, and fierce Nyami-Nyami and The Spirit of the Zambezi.

So come alive with Cape Town and join in the fun and lively atmosphere.

TART F/W 2013

The Tart F/W 2013 Collection consisted of both elagant and sophisticate, and sporty wear. It included beautiful embellishments, warm rich colours, slim silhouttes and CAPES! I have a feeling capes will be huge this season.
Once again, the collection is wearable.
Tart just keeps getting better.

THE TART BRAND

Tart is a ladies brand which was established in 2001 by Cari Stephenson. In 2010 the Tart family grew when Isabel de Villiers joined the team.
Tart started off with the t-shirt, but has evolved to include all aspects of leisure wear. The simple silhouettes and colourful energetic designs are appealing and oh so easy to wear.

I love Tart for many reasons. One being that the Tart philosophy matches that of my own, "if you look good, you will feel good." The Tart woman is described as an outgoing active woman, so me!
Another reason for my love for Tart is that it is PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN. All their products are produced locally. How awesome is that?
The tart studio is in Observatory, Cape Town.
Tart clothing is available at The Space stores and selected boutiques nation wide.

WHATEVER DAVID TOUCHES, TURNS GOLD.

"My brand is made in the City of Gold, we're paying tribute to this great city. Everybody that paid attention could see the fine thread connecting the city and the collection that we put together from very luxurious fabrics, golds, make-up and everything falling into place – and it translated very well.
The inspiration behind this collection is pure decadence.
We celebrate our first decade as a brand of style and luxury, so fusing a decade and style becomes decadence," said Tlale.

David Tlale never fails to WOW us!
The hair and make at his show reminded me of Katy Perry's Futuristic Lover video, Out Of This World.

This years F/W collection presented elegance, style and luxury.
His designs were ever so elaborate. The trench coats were tailored perfectly. While his dresses with meticulous detailing, clinched in high waists and rich colour remained glamorous. It is no wonder that David Tlale is world renowned, his designs are ASTONISHING.
