Party Planning

Throwing a party. Although it entails much work, headaches and stress, it still remains a whole lot of fun.

The last couple of weeks were packed with plotting and planning. Last night we enjoyed a lovely bridal shower for my dear sister/friend.

A few tips for party planning:
1. First things first. Choose a theme.

2. Make lists. Make lists of everything. Categorize. Things that you need to decide on include: venue, date, guests, decor, food, and entertainment.

3. Start with invites as soon as possible as these need to be out long before the party. Don't forget to add RSVP details.

4. Organize. Organize all the tasks to be done and distribute them accordingly.

4. Prioritize. Start with tasks that take up the most time and can be done from before, for eg. the party paraphernalia.

5. Set reminders. Do not trust your own memory. As humans in this day and age we are quick to forget when there's many things going on. Don't be fooled, you need reminders

6. Food- don't go overboard. At parties people tend to eat less. Keep this in mind.

7. Have fun

8. Most important!! Don't over-exert yourself with the preps. You'll miss out on the joy of the party.
